Thought I'd share... I just received my first (second and third) tattoo yesterday. I go back in September to have "shechina" in Hebrew and the black and gray swirls of wind and celtic knotwork added to it. (I'm an Irish/English/Native American Jew-by-Choice.)
I'm very pleased with the experience. I also had the benefit of having a "tattoo buddy" with me who also got a tattoo yesterday—and she's a Rabbi who will be 60 this year. I feel a new connection with my physical self.
