A Hebrew Word In A Tattoo??

I'm dealing with a skin cancer. Doing a topical chemotherapy thing. It's not life-threatening, but cancer, nonetheless. I want to commemorate this phase in my life with the word 'koach', in Hebrew tattooed on the inside of my right arm, with some flowers or something around it. I've made arrangements, etc. Hubby doesn't think it's a good idea. He's not as liberal as I am, obviously. I told him I'm not getting this for other Jews, it's for me. Is it a bad idea to have a Hebrew word tattoo? I think of Britney Spears's meaningless Hebrew tattoo, at least mine will have a specific meaning.
Comments, please. I'm getting it done on Wednesday, the 25th.

I say go with your gut feeling and do it and good luck, do whatever you think is good.

Reclaiming the ritual of scarification for healing is a beautiful thing. My tattoos have helped me heal in a deeply personal way and I hope that yours will bring you the same peace. This may be just what you need. I say go for it!

this past summer I went ahead and got a phrase in Hebrew tattoo'd on the inside of my right forearm. It has a lot of personal signifigance for me (as does my other tat,) and I'm really quite happy about it. Just looking at it is a reminder, and every time I have to explain it's meaning, it's a way of spreading this particular meme.

You can see my ink either in the gallery or in my profile photos.
